Ingredients for one 22 cm diameter tin
| 250 | g | Spelt flour bio Regiograno® |
| 1 | package | baking powder |
| 75 | g | milk |
| 125 | g | brown sugar |
| 3 | eggs | |
| 150 | g | sunflower oil |
| 2 | apples, diced | |
| 0.5 | teaspoon | salt |
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 170 °C top/bottom heat (150 °C fan oven). Grease a round cake tin or line it with baking paper.
- Sift the spelt flour together with the baking powder into a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, brown sugar, salt, milk, and sunflower oil for about 7 minutes until light and creamy.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until a smooth batter forms.
- Gently fold the diced apples into the batter.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake tin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Check with a toothpick to make sure the cake is fully baked.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. Optionally dust with powdered sugar.
