Ingredients
for 15 rolls
| 2 | apples | |
| 75 | g | walnuts |
| 50 | g | raisins |
| 8 | g | cinnamon |
| 500 | g | Mix Venostini bio Regiograno® |
| 300 | g | lukewarm water |
| 30 | g | honey |
| 50 | g | soft butter |
| q.s. | whole wheat flour |
Preparation
- Wash and peel the apples, cut into cubes, and mix with the walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon.
- Knead the bread mix with the water and honey, then add the butter and continue kneading until fully incorporated.
- Knead in the apple-walnut mixture until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Shape the dough into a ball and let it rise, covered, for about 1.5 hours, until doubled in volume.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and divide into 15 pieces. Coat each piece in flour and shape roughly into rounds. The dough is quite soft.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let rest, covered, for about 30 minutes.
- Bake the rolls at 250 °C (480 °F) top/bottom heat for 3 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180 °C (355 °F) without opening the oven door, and bake for another 15–17 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden. Enjoy warm or cooled.
